Food festival back for seconds
THERE will be a double helping of the food festival held at the Bristol and Bath Science Park this year.
The South Gloucestershire Food and Drink Festival, which is free to enter, was staged once last year but this year there are plans for two separate weekends – once in the spring and once in autumn.
The festival will be back for a first time on May 18 and 19. Doors will open at 10am.
The second festival will also take place at the Science Park, in September, with more details to follow shortly.
Last year the organisers welcomed 22,000 people to the Science Park lawn to try a wide range of fantastic food and drink from doughnuts and other baked goods, to prosecco cocktails and paella.
A spokesman for the South Gloucestershire Food and Drink Festival said: “We can’t wait to welcome back our visitors and offer them the opportunity to dive into deliciousness all weekend at this jam-packed event.“This year will see more amazing local bands providing our visitors with fantastic live music and entertainment, guaranteed to leave a smile on everyone’s face. The South Glos Food and Drink Festival welcomes a wide range of exhibitors from the South Gloucestershire area and beyond to provide plenty tasty treats and beverages for all to enjoy.”
