Have a say on green spaces
PEOPLE are being encouraged to have their say on plans to improve the network of green spaces and water courses, including parks, nature reserves and other open spaces across South Gloucestershire.
The council's draft Green Infrastructure Strategy, known as ‘Greener Places’, is open to comment until September 12.
It involves plans to protect the area's "green infrastructure" of parks, woodland, farmland and water, and improve and create more habitat for nature.
Council cabinet member for the environment, Steve Reade, said the strategy "recognises that we all have a part to play in responding to the challenges of the changing climate and the nature crisis."
