Pints, poppadoms plasters (and beer)
PINTS, Poppadoms and Plasters is the title of the latest initiative from Downend Round Table – and it could help save a life.
The organisation is planning a free event for men aged 18-45 who would like to learn more about first aid. It involves a free beer, curry and the opportunity to learn a life-saving skill.During a relaxed and informal evening provided by Acorn Health and Safety, you’ll learn how to perform CPR on infants and children, deal with choking, loss of consciousness, severe bleeding and broken bones.
Downend Round Table's community support officer Paul Wells said: “We are well known in the local community for our annual fireworks display and Santa sleigh, but there’s so much more to Round Table. I’m really looking forward to this event and the opportunity to give something back to our local community.”
The event will take place at Downend Cricket Club on Monday March 11 from 7.30pm. Places are limited. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to book.
