SUMMER brightness was brought to Lyde Green thanks to the efforts of volunteers.

The Lyde Green Open Space committee filled the planters in School Square with blooms donated by residents and were able to show them off to an assessor from the RHS South West in Bloom.

The group has been fundraising to buy specialist watering equipment to help make it easier to water the planters and are pleased to have already passed the £200 target. Equipment will be purchased shortly.

More volunteers to help with watering woud also be welcomed. If you could help with this, please sign up here: https://goo.gl/forms/9HS2lFhfFnwn7cbV2

Annual sponsorship opportunities for each of the planters is available at £100 per planter for the year. This will cover planting, soil improvements, and plaques for the planters. If your business or organisation is interested in sponsorship, please get in touch with LGopenspace@gmail.com.

You can find out what else the Lyde Green Open Space group is up to via their Facebook page.
