Plenty to play for as season draws to an end

MANGOTSFIELD United Juniors and AFC Mangotsfield seniors have plenty to look forward to as they approach the final month of the season,

AFC Mangotsfield seniors reached their first Gloucestershire County Cup Final since being founded in 2011 and will now face rivals Yate United on Monday April 16 at GFA headquarters in Almondsbury.

AFC Mangotsfield currently run four adult sides of varying abilities with their first team just one step below The Gloucester County League.

Chairman Pete Brown said: " We are a very ambitious club and very proud to be running four teams all from our main ground at Blackhorse Road. We have big plans to improve the facilities here, both on and off the pitch. Anyone interested in joining this great club please contact me."

Mangotsfield United Juniors are also enjoying cup success, both the under 15s and 16s have reached County Cup finals, both to be played next month at Almondsbury. For the under 15s it will be their fifth County Cup final in the last four years while 16s are making their debut on their final year.

Mangos under 13s and 14s have reached the Avon Youth League Plate finals and both have a good chance of carrying off the silver ware.

Mangotsfield United Juniors are a Chartered Standard Community Club offering football in a safe and friendly environment for all children boys and girls, from four years old to senior. They currently have more than thirty teams and are always looking for new players at all ages of all abilities, especially under 12s, Year 7.

The club would also welcome anyone who fancies the challenge of managing a side or joining as a committee member.
